There are buyers don't use 10% so you might want to specify it to make it clear.

Btw if that's the case, you can try to PM a member named "TygerTyger" (without quotes) who might sell you stars with this price and rate.

I mean not all buyers use the same rate, you'd better write down the rate you prefer.
An example is that J.L. uses 10%; another example is that gc00018 uses 7.5%.
FYI, from what I see, 10% is the most widely used.

Hmm lemme use an example to explain this.
Provided you want to get a gold star, you need 100 USD worth of Bitcoin to be sent to you E-Hentai Bitcoin wallet.
If 1 BTC = 100 USD, you don't need to send 1 BTC to the wallet, you only need to send 0.91 BTC, because the E-Hentai Donation page says:

We currently use whichever is highest of the 7-day and 24-hour weighted average provided by Bitcoin Charts, plus a 10% bonus to cover transaction fees and random volatility.

Now:
If a star buyer (ex: J.L.) uses 10%, then it means the corresponding star seller (ex: TygerTyger) needs to send 0.91 BTC to the buyer's wallet.
If a star buyer (ex: gc00018) uses 7.5%, then it means the corresponding star seller (ex: TygerTyger) needs to send 0.93 BTC to the buyer's wallet.
Note that this is just an example, 1 BTC is not equal to 100 USD at the moment.

So basically, a star buyer (J.L. or gc00018 in this example) wants a lower rate, while a star seller (TygerTyger in this example) wants a higher rate.

Your explanation is clear, but the situation is still confusing. The required amount for a gold star would always be USD 91 equivalent in BTC, right? So it seems easier to quote the trade as Xx credits or Yy hath for USD 91 equivalent in BTC.

There's no point having excess BTC in a wallet controlled by E-H servers, so why ask for 7.5% rate and have 0.02 spare BTC (in your example)? And by asking for this much more BTC, the star seller would demand more credits.
