A friend of mine managed to hook me on Puzzle Quest. If nothing else, it's a fun and time consuming distraction until games I'm looking forward to more come out. Namely, Spore in September and Ar Tonelico 2 in December.

"Depression is a strange thing
You're like a different being
And you make think some care
But the real truth is too hard to bear
They say they'll help in any way
But really they just brush it away
So would anyone care if I died
From my own shotgun suicide?"

Surprisingly good game that was. Square has a tendancy to shit out Final Fantasy after Final Fantasy spinoff, and they tend to blow goats. Crisis Core finally makes me say "thank God I have a PSP."

Anyone else taking a break from WoW?

Raiding is fun but doing it everyday, it gets tiresome.

Now that I've finally got my stuff out of storage, I'm tempted to run through Gears of War on co-op again. Didn't like the multi-player and the game sucks pretty hard ass single player, but the co-op was mad fun. Oh, wait... Disgaea 3 and Tales of Vesperia come out this week. Change of plans.

Dumbass Edit: ToV and Disgaea is next week... so Gears it shall be.

It's really not a random level up system. There's almost an invisble experience system going on. As you reach certain exp points, your likelyhood of hitting that 777 increases. So if you require 1000 exp, then once you hit that mark, your chance of levling up will become something like 25% during limit verge. If you get to 1500 exp, now it raises to like 75% during limit verge.

I do admit that sometimes I really hated that slot machine. When you really needed it to bust out something useful, it wouldn't. But be damned if during an easy battle you would limit break out of your mind. I just think the overall experience of the story is what made it good.

Just throw FF X-2 out the window now. You will save yourself from the nightmares that accompany playing it.
