Russia has been buying Shahed-136 drones from Iran. Range 1800km, airspeed ~150 kph, gross weight 500 pounds. Very hard to detect & shoot down with Ukraine's limited air defenses. They just blew up Ukraine's southern operational headquarters in Odesa. Meanwhile the Brandong administration is still declining to send ATACMS with a 300km range. Note: What we have spent on Ukraine is still less than 1% of what we spent on Iraq and Afghanistan, and yet the Russian military is on the ropes.
Good news for us, Iranian drones don't entirely suck after all.
Russian law requires conscripts to be given minimum 4 months of training before they can be deployed outside Russia. Because Ukraine is part of Russia, they were going to be given 2 weeks of training. They are now getting 0 - 1 days of training before being sent straight to the front. It was a Tsarist tradition to hold a conscript's funeral before he left his home village.
"First, indifferent to politics.
Now, ground meat."
