(This is only for people who actually run H@H.)

The H@H proxy functionality was originally added so that people could help boost their H@H cache by browsing the site. With the addition of static ranges, this is now largely irrelevant, and using it as a proxy may to some extent be detrimental rather than helpful if your cache is close to full.

Furthermore, with the new resampling system, the proxy will in many cases be bypassed since it can't support not-yet-created files of an unknown fileid.

As such, it's a feature I'm considering removing.

What I would like to know is if there are a lot of people using H@H for the actual proxying functionality. Or rather, if you would be using it knowing that it no longer helps your utilization.

It looks great on paper, but I could never get it to work.

Leave it if it actually boosts speed, but I've never seen any difference

Thanks for the feedback. The proxy functionality was removed with H@H 1.3.
