2021-04-22: Advice for new players: Persistent or Isekai?
Currently, most experts seem to agree that it is the best strategy to start in Persistent hentaiverse first. It's possible to play in PFUDOR almost from the start. But you can also work your way up through the difficulties. Change your gear often, experiment with different styles, and use/slot your ability points and primary attribute points. Do the first run of any arena on lower difficulty, you don't want to die because then you won't unlock the next arena.
It could be an interesting strategy to first test the game in ISEKAI mode. In isekai, you could be able to collect a complete equipment set, soulfused, within a season. That will then be transferred to your normal 'persistent' HV at the end of the season. ISKEAI season runs 6 months, and starts in July and December every year. You can start at any moment though.
Disussion: isekai could be used to get decent starter gear in persistent, because in isekai you can get one or even two peerless equipments every season, you will get magnificents and a couple of legendary from the shrine, and you have max drop training and some hath perks active without cost. You need to wait up to 6 months before you get the gear in persistent, though. Most experts feel that that is too long.

f4tal's exquisite Do's and Don'ts, copied here for your convenience This post gives you the TOP-28 rules for what you should and should not do in HentaiVerse. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) At first, that thread may scare you with lots of terms, like "shrining", "salvaging", "soulfusing", etc. Don't be afraid - when you will start playing the game, you will learn what all these weird words mean. Just read that thread and bookmark it. Return to it when you need help or extra hints. It may look as too long thread, but you want to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls - you have to read it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) --- Good luck (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) 0. If you are having problems with regular HentaiVerse (hentaiverse.org), then try to play on alternative domain ([alt.hentaiverse.org] alt.hentaiverse.org).1. Read the wiki- There is a huge wiki dedicated to HentaiVerse with advice, formulas and explanations. If you have any questions or don't understand some concepts of the game - read the wiki first.
- Start with following pages:
2. Ask questions in forum- There is also the forum dedicated to HentaiVerse.
- You can ask any question in Ask the Expert thread. "Is my equipment good? Are my stats good? Is my build right? Am I doing everything right" - ask anything you want. Do not be shy, tell yourself: "Forum people are already used to see random newbies asking questions and stuff" ©.
- If you want to practice a little with posting a message, then check this section. Here you can post any message, practice with quotes, markup, etc.
- If you don't like default "white"-outlook of the forum, then you can select "black" one. You can change skins in the bottom-left corner:
3. Trade with other players (visit WTB and WTS) - Trading with other players is major part of the game and you should do this if you want to get good equipment and items.
- There are two sections in the forum where you can trading:
- WTS (Willing To Sell)- here, players are selling their items and equipment for other players (have their own shops);
- WTB (Willing To Buy)- here, players are asking for items and equipment to buy from other players (leaving the requests);
- You are using MoogleMail for trading with other players. Think of MoogleMail as a message you can send to other player with attaching either credits or equipment/item.
- If you want to send something to other player, but want him to pay you first before he can get attachments from your message, then you should use CoD.
- By default CoD-service is not free. You can buy Postage Paid hath perk to make it free. That perk costs like than 40,000 credits, and you should buy it ASAP.
4. You can get equipment, items and credits for free- In WTS you can find lots of shops where high-leveled players are giving goodies to newcomers for free. Yes, for free.
- To find these shops just search for the word "free" in the name or description of the shop.
- Before asking for something, please, carefully read the rules. Some shop-keeper have level/message requirements.
- Here is few shops that might help you:
- FreeShop (This is special shop, the has been created for solely purpose to help novices) - free restoratives and equipment;
- Sweetness Overload - free credits;
- ST-Ru - free restoratives, selling items from Item Shop with 10% discount, free renting of equipment;
- Epion - free restoratives, selling items from Item Shop with 10% discount, free reforge;
- End Of All Hope - free equipment, selling items from Item Shop with 10% discount, free reforge;
- hc br - free restoratives, free equipment;
- as013 - free restoratives, free credits;
- fihero - free equipment;
- TygerTyger - free Item World;
- Kira.Yoshikage - free restoratives;
- qiaoyao12456 - free restoratives;
- P.S. Guys & ladies, thank you all for your kindness (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
5. Do not use Credits to download galleries! Use GP instead- High chances that you started to play HentaiVerse to get enough Credits to download Galleries. You can use not only Credits for this purpose, but also GP. With GP you can download three times more galleries.
- To convert your Credits into GP, visit GP Exchange page and follow these steps:
6. Visit the News Page every day- Every day by visit the News Page and you will get free EXP, Credits and refresh Arenas' cooldown.
7. You receive double EXP for posting in forum at least once per 30 days- Yes, make a post in forum and in next 30 days you will receive double EXP.
- If you just need that bonus but you don't want to talk with people, then please do yourself a favor and post that one message somewhere here - don't spam and create useless threads. Thanks.
8. Do not level up fast- Probably you are thinking that faster you will level up - the more abilities, training and spells you will have and then your gameplay will be easier. This is not quite true.
- Not only you are leveling up, but so the monsters too. Your equipment, on other hand, do not level up with you. So in the end you might fight with monsters that will be too powerful for you to beat with poor equipment. There is only one way to make equipment to level up with you - soulfusing, but it is an expensive procedure.
- Do not push ahead, like a raging bull, trying to get high level as soon as possible. You should get the knowledge about the game, not just plain number that represents your level.
- Even by playing on lowest difficulty, you will level up fast. Especially if you got 2x EXP bonus from step 5 above. You can easily get level 200 in ~15-20 days with no haste.
9. Do not start playing as mage, start as melee- Your favored RPG class is mage and you want to start playing as mage in HentaiVerse? Sorry, wrong door then, in HentaiVerse, mage is an endgame-class, while melee is startgame-class.
- Mage equipment is very expensive and on lower levels you just don't have good spells - it is just extremely hard to play as mage right from level one.
- Technically, if you have "instruments" behind the game (you are donator, using H@H, adopted-a-server, etc), then you can try to start playing as mage, but if you have nothing, then start playing as melee - it is more effective, easy and comfortable.
- Start playing as Two-handed melee with Light armor or One-handed melee with Heavy armor. Former is called 2H/Light, latter is called 1H/Heavy.
- 1H/Heavy: high defense, low avoidance, high HP, low MP, slow;
- 2H/Light: low defense, high avoidance, low HP, high MP, fast;
10. Do not mind the quality of equipment- Equipment may be one of the following quality: Crude, Fair, Average, Superior, Exquisite, Magnificent, Legendary, Peerless.
- The common mistake is trying to get equipment of great quality as soon as possible. This is wrong. Do not try to get Legendary or Peerless in first day of playing, and even in the first month. They are rare, they are expensive, you have not enough knowledge to tell good equipment from bad. There is nothing wrong in changing the quality of equipment, but such changing should be gradually and adequate.
11. Do not mixup the armor pieces- In the game you can find three types of armor: heavy, light and cloth. You should not mixup these three type of armor. Either use all Heavy pieces, or all Light, or all Cloth.
- Each of this three type can be one of two kinds: common and rare.
- Heavy: plate (common), power (rare). Heavy is melee armor, good defense, bad avoidance.
- Light: leather (common), shade (rare). Light is melee armor, bad defense, good avoidance.
- Cloth: cotton (common), phase (rare). Cloth is mage armor.
12. Do not soulfuse Average or Superior equipment- Soulfusing is an expensive procedure and you should not waste it on low-quality equipment.
- It takes same amount of Soul Fragments to soulfuse both Superior and Exquisite equipment, however the latter is more powerful and have better stats.
- Just do not soulfuse anything below Exquisite quality no matter how fabulous that equipment looks.
- Some folks advising do not soulfuse Exquisite quality either and soulfuse only Magnificent, Legendary and Peerless. Other people are telling that it is up to player what one should and should not soulfuse and if one want to soulfuse Average equipment - he might do this. It is debatable field.
13. Do not buy equipment with level higher than yours - you cannot equip it- Most times it is a waste of Credits.
- There are only two exceptions:
- You can soulfuse equipment with level no more than 100 level higher than yours (you have 14 level - you can soulfuse equipment with level 114, but cannot soulfuse equipment with level 115), but soulfusing costs a lot.
- You can buy equipment with level higher than yours, then level up and equip it (purchasing equipment for future using).
14. Always "lock" equipment you don't want to sell or salvage- To prevent you from accidentally selling or salvaging equipment - lock it by clicking on the icon of lock near its name.
- You also can send equipment to the storage and completely hide it.
15. Do not forget to activate your ability- After upgrading abilities - do not forget to actually activate them.
- Click on the icon of ability and be sure icon appeared at the top panel (aka "put ability in the slot").
16. Use spells- Spells can be one of four group
- Offensive - attacking spells that can be one of six types: Fire, Ice(Cold), Elec, Wind, Holy(Divine) & Dark(Forbidden). Only mage need to use these.
- Debuffs - spells that make enemies weaker, slower, break their defense. Both melee and mage should use them.
- Buffs - spells that make you stronger, faster, increase your defense. Both melee and mage should use them.
- Cures - spells that heals your wounds. Both melee and mage should use them.
- So, as you can see, melee should use spells too, therefore melee should raise his magical stats too. Mostly he should use various buffs to help himself to survive enemies' attack. (if you have a mindset from other RPG that melee don't need spells - forget about this stereotype).
- Remember one thing:
- Casting any spell, even Cure, costs few turns, so enemies can attack you right after you have cast spell (some fast enemies may even attack twice!).
- Using items costs 0 (zero) turns, in other words, enemies cannot attack you after you have used items (no matter, Draught, Potion, Elixir, Scroll, Infusion or what). So whenever, you have chance, use items first and only then, if your HP is still low, cast a Cure spell.
- You can put most frequently using spells or/and skills in a special quickbar that appears during the battle.
17. Cast Spark of Life with care- At some point of the game you will unlock Spark of Life spells that gives you "second chance" and saves from death (from fatal strike). After saving your life, spell will be removed.
- The tricky thing is that spell requires you to have at least 50% of your base Spirit Points (SP); if you have not enough - spell will fail and monsters will attack you (you spent turn). Whenever Spark of Life saves you from death, it absorbs 50% of your base SP.
- Novices often are making same mistake - they immediately trying to re-cast that spell after it saved their life, but instead they dying, because have not enough base SP.
- Before casting Spark of Life be sure that you have at least 50% of base SP available.
- Base SP and real SP are two different things. In short - base SP is your innate SP meter without any bonuses; real SP (one you see in the battle) is adjusted base SP. Until you will be proficient enough, just keep you SP meter at least 50% full.
18. Do not forget to put items into item slots- To make a character able to use an item during the battle - you first should put that item into"item slots" (equip it).
- Visit the Item Inventory and transfer desired items into slots.
19. Use numpad to attack monsters and other hotkeys- You attack monsters either by clicking on them, or by pressing numpad (or regular number) buttons. For example, hold key "2" to attack the second monster in the battle.
- More hotkeys you can find here.
20. Do not sell items to the bazaar- Just remember: never sell anything to the bazaar. At least until you will be proficient enough to tell important items from unimportant.
- Players in the WTB section are willing to pay dozens, even hundreds thousands credits for some items because they are rare.
21. Do not play Grindfest; play Random Encounters- Grindfest is the battle mode, designed for high-level players, not for newcomers. In this mode you will receive less Credits, less EXP, however difficulty is astonishing. For novice there is NO chance to finish that battle mode or even advance past 50 round - don't try and waste your time.
- Instead, go play more Random Encounters - it is a special battle mode that available every 30 minutes 24 times per day. You should visit the News Page and click on the link. In that mode you get more Credits, more EXP and better drops than in Arenas.
22. Do you really need to use Energy Drink?- When you are playing, your Stamina slowly is being reduced and when it hits 80 received EXP will be reduced in half. Energy Drink restores stamina by 10 points. That is why novices tend to use that item mindlessly in a sake of getting more EXP.
- On other hand, you can get those 10 points of stamina back, by stopping playing any Battle Mode for 10 hours. In other words - just wait 10 hours.
- Players in WTB eager to pay 100,000+ credits per Energy Drink, making it one of the most valuable items.
- Just ask yourself: "what is better: wait for 10 hours and get easy cash from some buyer or use Energy Drink and continue playing and let the cash go?"
23. Do you really need to shrine trophies?- You can shrine trophies in order to get good equipment, but just yourself: "is it really worthy?".
- Shrining trophies is a gamble with odd outcomes for you. One may shrine 1,000 trophies and receive nothing good from it. Some players NEVER got anything valuable from the shrining trophies.
- Instead of shrining trophies blindly, maybe your should start selling them to people in WTB section? It is a guaranteed income that may give you ~1,000,000 credits in 12-15 days (depending on your luck of course).
24. Think about buying Innate Arcana hath perk- Innate Arcana hath perk allows you to automatically cast (and recast) certain buff spells; in other words, you do not need to manually cast those spells anymore.
It is extremely useful, saves your time and allows to spend more time on battle itself, instead of checking how many turns left on buffs.
- There are five levels of Innate Arcana - each allows you to auto-cast additional buff spell (making five auto-spells in total). Also, each level of Innate Arcana decreases the MP consumption of auto-casted spells.
- Innate Arcana is not that expensive (first level costs ~200,000 credits) and benefits are amazing.
25. Think about buying Gold Star- Gold Star gives you lots of various bonuses, most important of which are:
- Doubles the amount of monsters in Monster Lab;
- Doubles the number of received EXP;
- Halves the monster morale and hunger drain rates
- +50% to MP/SP regeneration
- You can get the Gold Star in one of the two ways:
- Donate 100$;
- Find "Gold Star seller", who are willing to change his 100$ for your Credits (~60,000,000 credits);
26. Think about buying OFC- OFC (stands for Orbital Friendship Cannon) - is extremely powerful melee spell that can kill most enemies in one successful strike.
- OFC takes 50 steps to recharge itself, and you can use it as many times as you want during the battle.
- To start using OFC you need to collect 21 different pony figurines. Chances to drop one figurine during the battle is very low (1% of 0,4% of 20%), so instead visit the WTS-section and buy these 21 figurines from various players. Each figurine cost ~25,000 credits, so you get the OFC for ~550,000 credits. Remember: 21 DIFFERENT figurines.
27. Spend Chaos tokens on creating new monsters, instead upgrading existing ones- It feels like a good idea to create one/two/three monsters and upgrade them only, waiting for lots of gifts, but that tactic will not work.
- You need to spend million(s) of credits on monster to make it good enough to get wins, and then you need month(s) to get return of investment from such monster.
- Instead of upgrading existing monsters - create as many monsters as possible. Yes, they will be weak, but every three days they will return you a guaranteed gift - no huge investments, no headache; just create and get a gift every three days.
- You can make them extra profitable by upgrading their Scavenger chaos upgrade (it increases chance to get more gifts). Experts also recommend to raise the Power Level of your monsters to 100, to give him a little room to kill anyone.
28. Use scripts- Scripts are your little helpers. They give you extra abilities, features and enhance your gameplay. If you never heard about scripts, than read that guide.
- You can find list of scripts in wiki.

Continuation of f4tal's exquisite Do's and Don'ts thread, copied here for your convenience: Remember - you can create your own shop in WTS (there is no level requirements, please read the rules) and sell whatever item/equipment you want for whatever price you want. Creating shops is not recommended way to deal with item/equipment for absolute novices - please be sure that you are proficient enough to tell good item/equipment from bad one and, overly familiar with game, prices & mechanics. 1. Where to get credits?- Drops. You gets Credits as drops from monsters.
- Monsters drop lots of money in Random Encounter, good amount in Arenas, but miserable amount in Grindfest & Item World. So doing the latter for money purpose is not a wise idea. - Higher the difficulty is - the more Credits you will get as drop. - You cannot increase the chances of dropping the credits by increasing your training (even Scavenger).
- Items. There are lots of valuable items in the game that you can return income:
- Gifts from monsters. Monster gives you gift in two cases:
- When monsters won the battle;
- When monsters haven't won any battles for three days.
- You can increase the chance of getting double gift by increasing Gift Factor (in short, just upgrade Scavenger chaos upgrade); - The most valuable gifts are:
- Repurposed Actuator (RA). Cost: 50,000+;
- Crystallized Phazon (CP). Cost: 160,000+;
- Binding of Slaughter (BoS). Cost: 90,000+;
- Binding of Destruction (BoD). Cost: 50,000+;
- Binding of Protection (BoP). Cost: 30,000+;
- Binding of the Raccoon. Cost: 10,000+;
- Binding of the Cheetah. Cost: 25,000+;
- Binding of the Fox. Cost: 16,000+;
- Binding of the Owl. Cost: 16,000+;
- High-Grade Cloth (HGC) (monster should have at least 400 Power Level). Cost: 17,000+;
- High-Grade Wood (HGW) (monster should have at least 400 Power Level). Cost: 7,000+;
- Salvaging equipment. After salvaging equipment, it will be completely destroyed, but you will get materials back.
- Two most valuable materials are:
- High-Grade Cloth (HGC) - salvage Magnificent/Legendary Cloth/Phase. Cost: 17,000+;
- High-Grade Wood (HGW) - salvage Magnificent/Legendary Shield/Staff. Cost: 7,000+;
- Selling Energy Drinks or Precursor Artifacts. With chance of 0,2%-0,4% monster may drop Precursor Artifact, which you can shrine and get one of the following items:
- Energy Drink is most valuable item of five, however chance to get it ~20% (for novices even lower). - You have two choices here:
- Energy Drink (ED). Cost: 100,000+ (try to shrine Precursor Artifact, get Energy Drink and sell it);
- Precursor Artifact (PA). Cost: 20,000+ (do not shrine Precursor Artifact and sell the Artifact itself);
- To increase the chance to get Precursor Artifact - do Scavenger training (increases the change of dropping anything) and Archaeologist training (increases the change of dropping artifact).
- Selling Trophies. After killing certain enemies, you get a special items, called Trophies, which you can shrine in order to get equipment. Chances to get good equipment are so low, that most players prefer to sell trophies to other players instead.
- Manbearpig Tail, Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, Mithra's Flower, Dalek Voicebox (kill Manbearpig, White Bunneh, Mithra, Dalek). Cost: 900+;
- Lock of Blue Hair (kill Konata). Cost: 1,500+;
- Bunny-Girl Costume, Hinamatsuri Doll, Broken Glasses (kill Mikuru Asahina, Ryouko Asakura, Yuki Nagato). Cost: 1,900+;
- Sapling, Black T-Shirt (kill Real Life, Yggdrasil). Cost: 6,000+;
- Unicorn Horn (kill Invisible Pink Unicorn). Cost: 8,000+;
- Noodly Appendage (kill Flying Spaghetti Monster). Cost: 40,000+;
- Selling other items. Selling other items, like scrolls, infusion and low-quality materials can give you money too, but not as much as previously mentioned items. Some players in WTB-section are providing various discounts (for example, their buying price higher if you are selling more than 100 items at once), so check various threads to find better request.
- Selling equipment.
- Market has certain demands to what consider as good equipment and therefore some equipment might be untredably because of wrong suffix/prefix or bad ranges. - Demand for the quality is proportional to player's level: nobody above level 400 is interested in buying Superior or Exquisite equipment, however players below 200 are willing to buy equipment of those quality. - Be prepared, that certain equipment is easy to sell, while other may lay in your inventory forever, without a chance to ever be sold. - If you need a help to determinate the "goodness" of equipment or its price, ask for the help in Price Check thread. Always ask for the help! Better safe than sorry.
- Send to auction. If equipment has Magnificent, Legendary or Peerless quality and follow certain standards - you can try to send it auction. Auctioneer may take a fee for organizing the auction and selling your equipment. Currently we have two auctioneers:
- Find buyer in WTB. Some players are creating WTB-requests for equipment they are looking for. Check threads in this section and probably you will find a customer. Mostly, people are looking for equipment of Magnificent, Legendary or Peerless quality.
- Exquisite < 275 level (but only good stuff);
- Magnificent < 325 level;
- Legendary < 350 level.
- Alternative ways to deal with equipment.
- Send it to FreeSHop. If you will, you can send equipment to FreeSHop (preferable equipment < 200 level). Yes, you will not get any money from it, but instead you may help a novice player. Also it is good thing for karma - if you ever took something from FreeSHop to return equipment back.
- Salvage for materials. Alternatively, instead of selling equipment, you can salvage it and get materials. Then you either use materials to upgrade your equipment, repair it, or just sell materials. The best income you can get from salvaging Magnificent/Legendary Cloth/Phase (for High-Grade Cloth) and Magnificent/Legendary Shield/Staff (for High-Grade Wood).
- Sell to bazaar. In a case if equipment is bad and noone willing to buy it (be sure you check all possible options), the only way left is bazaar it. It gives you low amount of money, but still it is better than nothing.
-------- 2. Where to get equipment?- Free shops. There are lots of shops/threads where people are giving away their credits or restoratives for free, just because they want to. Few shops are also giving away equipment for free. For completely novice player that option may be a best stop. Check the first post to find what shops are offering free equipment.
- Drops. After killing the monster, it may, with certain randomness in account, drop the equipment. You can increase the chance to get equipment drop in the following ways:
- Do Training. Namely, Scavenger training (increases the change of dropping anything) and Quartermaster training (increases the change of dropping equipment);
- Play on harder difficulties. Monsters, on harder difficulties, are dropping equipment more often and quality of those drops would be higher.
- Play Random Encounters. In Random Encounters you have higher chances of drops.
- Shrine trophies. You get trophies for killing the bosses, schoolgirls and gods. Further, you can shrine trophies in order to get equipment. Sounds fair, but actual chances are that you will shrine 50 trophies and will get 50 bad equipment, so think yourself do you need such gamble with odd chances?
- Lotteries. You can buy lottery tickets and get Peerless equipment if you win. But sad truth is that lottery is so unpredictable and so random that your chances to win are low. Also if lottery prize is very good, then lots of people will buy tickets and real chances to win become even lower. On other hand if you have lots of GP, then lottery is nice gamble for you.
- Buying in the Bazaar. Bazaar is a very scarce thing: one day you spend here full day and never see anything good, but in another day you may find a true treasure. Check the Bazaar from time to time, but don't put your expectations too high. The good idea is buying equipment that has level a little higher than yours, so you can equip it when will have high enough level.
- Buying in the WTS. Mostly, equipment in WTS are Magnificent or Legendary quality and have high level (because sellers are high-leveled players, who are selling their own drops). Still, you can find shops that selling equipment of superior and exquisite quality with low enough level that you can afford freely - just search for the words "sup", "exq".
- Buying in the Auctions. For novice player auctions are bad deal, because most equipment has pretty high level and high bidding price (minimum - 50,000 credits), but still, one should know about this opportunity and should start visiting auctions when his finances and level would be high enough.

f4tal's Pimp your HV thread, copied here for your convenience: No matter, are you novice or expert, sooner or lately you will ask yourself a question - what I can do to make playing of HentaiVerse easier and faster. - Maybe you struggle where to find credits and what are easiest sources of income?
- Maybe you are playing hard and a lot, but all your drops are miserably, pathetic and low?
- Maybe you spending too much time on clearing arena and want to know how can you optimize your time?
No matter what brought you here, but I hope that thread will be helpful and will make your HentaiVerse-ing easier. Yes, that thread is long and takes time to read, but if you want to be successful in HentaiVerse - you WILL read it.1. Stop clicking, start hovering (or Monsterbation to rescue)How are playing HentaiVerse? Are you clicking on each monster to kill them? If so, then you should stop doing it right now! Let's compare clicking and hovering mechanics, so you clearly see the difference. (warning, 7mb GIF) So, hovering is not just FASTER, but it also EASIER and more HANDY than regular clicking. But how can you start hovering?Easy enough - start using Monsterbation script. Visit the Scripts & Tools wiki page and download latest version of Monsterbation. QUOTE If you never ever heard about about scripts, Tampermonker or Greasemonkey and all this sounds like some voodoo magic for you, then visit this link. Here you can find all explanations and instructions. Monsterbation script is basically all-in-one Swiss-knife for battle. It gives you shortcuts, lots of features and most importantly - ability to attack enemies by hovering on them. Hovering is legal method of attacking and whole Monsterbation script is legal, so you will not get ban, do not worry. Monsterbation is developed and supported by sickentide. 2. Performance Improvements (or browser do really matter)Sooner or lately you will ask yourself a question - how can you increase performance of the game? How can you make it faster? QUOTE Community uses "tps" attribute to tell how fast game operates on their device/PC. tps means "turns per second" and varies in somewhere from 0 to 4. You cannot have more than 4 tps - this is server-side restriction. Most people are playing at somewhere between 2.5-3.5 tps - this is a comfort speed to play. How can you measure your tps?Two solutions: - Use Monsterbation (see above) - it has an option to tell you your tps at the end of the battle;
- Use Battle Stats EX script (made by tatarime and Trifle) - that scripts acts more like a benchmark and may show you your current tps (at this precise moment of the battle).
Now, when you can find your tps, you should know what affects tps: - Your browser;
- Your ping/bandwidth/ISP;
- Your background services/soft (skype, torrents, download managers, etc);
- Your PC's specs (actual, mostly, for old PC);
- Your PC's health condition, mostly HDD fragmentation;
First three are major, last two are mostly optional and debatable. If you need any help or your technical knowledge is not good, then you can ask for help in our tech chat sub-forum. 1. BrowserWhat browser you using to play HentaiVerse? Probably Firefox or Chrome. But do you know that what browser you are using - DO really matter? I am not trying to say that Firefox is slow and Chrome is faster, but in my experience (and lots of people do tell) - Chrome is faster for HentaiVerse, so if you considering to play HentaiVerse a lot, maybe it would be a good idea to switch to Chrome to play it, or alternatively, you can use the portable version of Iron browser to play HentaiVerse and use your regular browser to other things. Chromium Browser is, simple say, Chrome without any Google-ish things. You can find it [ crportable.sourceforge.net] hereIf you are Firefox-guy/girl and don't want to use Chrome/Chromium, then consider to check [ www.palemoon.org] PaleMoon browser - it is same Firefox without some weird/nasty/odd stuff you can find in Firefox. Again, I am not advocating you to use some specific browser and abandon your current one, but just saying that maybe you should consider an alternative... Also, it may be good idea to use separate browser for HentaiVerse, because all extensions, history will probably slow down your tps and second browser (even in portable format) will make managing cookie/cache/data easier and more secure. 2. Find your pingPing is, roughly speaking, the interval of how long it takes to signal come from your PC/device to server (in milliseconds). The lower it is - the better. There are lots of instructions how to find your current ping ( Just ask the Google "how to find my ping?"), but I think [ iihelp.iinet.net.au] this instruction is easiest one to follow. With ping below 250 ms (roughly) you can comfortably play HentaiVerse. Ping is very complicated thing and takes lots of stuff in account from ISP to weather - so your ping may vary between sessions and days and even if ping is good your browser still may be slow. Also, if you will check your ping, check ping to alt.hentaiverse.org - you will get more correct results this way QUOTE You can use either hentaiverse.org or alt.hentaiverse.org domains to play the game. The difference is that latter is htts:// , not https:// as former, and has no cloudflare protection. People do think that alt.hentaiverse.org is faster than regular domain but that may be different in your case 3. Background consumersLots of soft/services are using your bandwidth without even letting you know and may be a reason why HentaiVerse is so slow for you. First, you should find what are using your bandwidth ( Just ask the Google "what soft is using my bandwidth?"), Maybe you should start with reading [ superuser.com] this . 4. Clean your PC upOkay, first at all - "Cleaner software" are mostly lie. There is no software in the world that can "increase your PC's speed by 300%" or "can free 600 GB in one click" - this is a just marketing lie. There is no ~wonder button~ that makes your PC run faster, but there are lots of software that doing unnecessary tweaks and optimization that just go wrong for you. As for cleaners, I do recommend using [ www.piriform.com] CCleaner to clean your PC and remove unnecessary files. But you should know two things: - Do not remove/delete/clean things you don't know;
- Always check what program is trying to delete/remove/delete/clean;
Some folks are saying that cleaning your PC is good step to make it run faster (not only for HentaiVerse, but overall), but that advice is based, mostly, on rumors - it may be helpful or may not. 5. Defrag your HDDThere are lots and lots of articles about the defragging in the internet ( Just ask the Google "how to defrag my hdd?"). You may use standard OS's service to defrag your PC's HDD or may use third-party tools. I do prefer former, but compare to cleaners (see above) it is not that tricky and odd to use third-party tools. Again, some people say that defrag should increase the speed, some tell that it should not - lots of opinions here, but it is ALWAYS a good idea to defrag your HDD - it will not make things worse. Continuation of f4tal's Pimp your HV thread, copied here for your convenience: 3. WTS / WTB / Auctions / Freeshop / Services (or you don't even know how many stuff are going on at forum)Before read below, you should know what MoogleMail and COD areThe worst mistake you can make in HentaiVerse is playing only by yourself without any other people involved. Yes, you can in theory, play by yourself without even vising forum once, but my God, what game it would be! There are so so may things happened in forum that it makes your head spin around. 1. WTS (Want To Sell) WTS is a trading place where people are selling items and equipment to each other. QUOTE People are mostly selling items for price lower than ones in bazaar have. For example it is common to see that people are selling Happy Pills for 1,400-1,500 credits (their bazaar price is 2,000), or Mana Draugths for 6-8 credits (their bazaar price is 50). Just think about how many credits you will save if you will buy stuff from real people, not from bazaar, for novices such difference in prices is critical.
One important rule - before buying anything check shops of other people - chances are that you may find even better/lower price and thus can save few credits. Do not buy things from the very first shop you will find. Second important rule - read carefully shop's rules. Some traders are asking for CoD, some are not, some giving a discount on certain conditions, some prefer one way of payment more than others and so on. Reading shop's rules carefully you can save yourself from troubles and save few credits. 2. WTB (Want To Buy) WTB is a trading place where people are buying items and equipment from each other. QUOTE Selling your stuff to people is best income you can afford without heavy grinding. During the battle you will get lots of useless (for you) junk. Just because things are useless for you doesn't mean they are useless for everyone. As melee you may never use infusions or scrolls, but mage-users are relaying on them. Again, as with with WTS - before sending your junk to anyone else, check other threads - it is possible that you will find a person who want to buy stuff on better condition/price than anyone else, so don't trade with very first person you will see, give some time and check other threads. Yes, this is okay to create your own WTB with anything you want to and any price, but if your price is too low, don't expected people will sell you stuff. When you will be over with your buying, just rename your shop into "[closed]". At some point you will find yourself too tired from constant clicking new thread, checking prices, closing, open new, etc. To optimize your WTS/WTB experience there is a special script Smart Search script (by Superlatanium). That scripts allows to check multiple threads for certain things at once and thus saves you lots of time. Using of it is very simple. 1. After installing the script you will see new text field with buttons "SmartSearh" and "Save" near. Click on "Save". It will be turned into "Downloading", and few seconds later to "Saved". 2. Then visit the second page and repeat that procedure. Then visit third page and repeat 3. After that input in text field what thing you want to sell or buy (for example "vase") and click on "SmartSearh" button 4. Second later window would be transformed in some weird way, don't be scared and scroll down 5. And voila - all shops that buying/selling vase and their prices! You don't ever need to check every single thread separately! Because that script is complex, I recommend you to check author's instructions3. Auctions Community has auctions - weekly-based event, where, as in real life, we have the lots (various good and mediocre equipment) and people may bid for them.QUOTE Auctions are easiest way to find great equipment, but hardest way to actually buy them, so expecte good completion for very nice stuff (sometimes bid may go over 10millions credits!). Currently we have two major auctions: Superlatanium's Auctions and Kedama's Auctions. You can find auctions in WTS-thread they have "[auction]" tag in name. If you want to participate in auction and make bids - carefully read rules. If you want to send things for auction - carefully read rules. In a moment of doubts - carefully read the rules. Auctions may looks complicated with such terms as "proxy bid", "minimum bid increment", "outbid" and such, but once you will start actually playing at auctions - you will eventually understand their system, it just comes with the experience. 4. Freeshop You can get nice stuff for free. Yes, for absolutely free.QUOTE There are lots of shops/threads where people are giving away their credits, equipment, restoratives for free, just because they want to. In WTS/WTB threads you can find lots of shops which has something with "[free]" tag in name. It is hard to say whose idea it was to create shops which will give away free items and equipment, but the idea was popularized by WhiteWolfRevy92 (aka wolfgirl_of_autumn92) and AnimeAi Most famous shop of free stuff is named (oddly enough) FreeShop and it is currently maintained by piyin. Lots of people are working (and were working) in FreeShop, you can find their names in this post. Oh, I know you will hate me for saying this, but you should read the rules before asking for something. Just make it your motto - "read the rules before anything else". 5. ServicesAnd if you think that this is all what community can give you, then you are wrong. Community also has lots of service-shops, like IWservice (people are doing IW for you), RentService (people are renting you nice equipment), and God-knows-what-else. 4. Searching for equipment (or don't be afraid to buy high-level gears)Okay, the top-one problem in the game is to find an equipment. Before we start, please remember following the following rules: QUOTE You CANNOT wear equipment which level is higher than yours. You can, however, soulfuse equipment which level is <100 levels higher than yours (If you are level 123, you can soulfuse equipment with level is below 223, but not higher). Soulfusing is basically downgrading equipment to your level. You need Soul Fragments to soulfuse equipment. If it says that equipment has unassigned level, than it means that you can wear it and its level would be equal to your level at the moment of first wearing. Until the level 150-200 user can simple use equipment he got as drop from monsters or buy nice stuff from bazaar, but with increasing of level and difficulty player more and more in demand for good-quality (magnificent/legendary) gears and this is very problems came from - where to find them?Here is guidelines where/how to find equipment: 1. Get from dropsThe main problem with drops is their randomness. You can increase chances to get equipment drop in following ways: - Do training. They are must to get nice drops. We have four training that related to drops:
a ) Scavenger (miserably increases the change of dropping anything); b ) Quartermaster (significantly increases the chance of dropping the equipment); c ) Luck of the Draw (miserably increases the change that dropped equipment would be power/phase/shade/force); d ) Archaeologist (significantly increases the chance of dropping artifact); As you can see they all are tied together and preferably should be trained simultaneously with little preference to Archaeologist and Quartermaster. - Play on harder difficulties. Monsters on harder difficulties are dropping loot more often and quality of dropped equipment would be way higher.
- Play Random Encounters. In RE you have higher chances for drops and thus can get nice equipment easily (of course if random decided to make it easier).
2. Shrine trophiesYou will get trophies from killing the bosses, schoolgirls and gods and then you can shine them to receive equipment. Sounds fair, but actual chances are that you will shrine 2000 trophies and will get 2000 trash. Shrining is such gamble, that people prefer even do not bother with it and just sell trophies to other players in WTB. 3. LotteriesSounds fair enough - you are buying lottery tickets and may get peerless equipment in a case of wining. But sad truth is that lottery is so unpredictable and so random that your chances to get equipment are very scarce. And also if lottery prize is very good, than lots of people will buy tickets and your real chances to win and equals to zero. 4. Buy from bazaarYes, bazaar is a thing when you want to buy low-quality gears but chances that someone dropped in bazaar nice magnificent/legendary gear that matches your level is miserable, so don't bother... 5. Buy from WTSThat is something reasonable - people are selling equipment for desired price. Mostly these equipment are magnificent/legendary. However you need to consider one things - most sellers are high-level players and they are selling their drops, so eventually these stuff would have a level higher than yours. Still you should not be afraid. You can buy equipment with level <100 more than yours and soulfuse it with Soul Fragments. Yes it make take time to get enough Soul Fragments to soulfuse equipment, but this is way most people do and there is nothing wrong with it. Once again, if you are 235 level, you can soulfuse equipment with level lower than 335. 6. Buy from auctionsLast but not least way - buying things from auctions. The trickiest thing is bidding, if equipment is good, than people will bid for it and sometimes bid may have 8-digits in. However, auctions are good way to buy some mediocre (compare to high-class) equipment, because mostly people don't bother too much about them, so you may have chance to get something from here for 50k-200k. 5. It is time to get money (or how want to be a millionaire)It is all about money. You need credits for everything: to buy equipment, to buy items, to buy materials, to buy training, to buy hath perks - anything, however money is not a easy thing to get. QUOTE First let's make it clear, until you reach level 300 and will be able to clear all arenas on PFUDOR (with last three arenas on something else) - you will be very tight with your money, so be prepared for heavy grinding. Your main income sources are: 1. Credit DropsOK, pretty obvious - monster died, left money - everything seems right... and so it is, but you need to consider few things: - Monsters drop lots of money in Random Encounter, good amount in Arenas, but miserable amount in Grindfest/Item World. So doing latter for money purpose is not a wise idea.
- You can NOT increase the chances to dropping the credits by increasing your Scavenger training.
2. Selling junkIt has been mentioned above, but I will repeat again - do not hoard useless junk, but go sell them. Everything you do not need; scrolls, infusions, gums, vases - just go and sell them in WTB section. 3. Selling trophiesAfter the killing of boss, schoolgirls or god you will receive a trophy which you can shrine for equipment. Mostly, you will receive trash after shrining, so why bother with shrining after all? It is better to go to WTB section and find someone who are buying trophies and send them to him. But, please, do not sell trophies one by one, better collect good amount (say, 50 of every tier) and sell them. Best thing you can do is completing last three arenas every single day (you don't need to be on PFUDOR difficulty), get all received trophies and sell them. It won't take too much time to finish last three arenas on, say, Hell difficulty, however you will gets lots of trophies that you can further trade for credits. The most valuable trophy is Noodly Appendage. It costs ~40,000 credits and you can get from 5-tokens/10-tokens Rings of Blood only. Most people prefer do not do 10-tokens Ring of Blood, because it is way more profitable to do 2x 5-tokens Rings of Blood instead because they would get 2x Noodly Appendage. Generally, if you will every single day clear all arenas and 5-token Ring of Blood, you can easily get ~1m of income every single week by trading trophies. 4. Selling artifacts/Energy DrinkRandomly, after the killing of enemy, you can get Precursor Artifact and here is trickiest thing. You can sell it in WTB section for ~20,000 or you can try to shrine it and hope to receive Energy Drink and sell it in WTB section for ~100,000. Chance to get Energy Drink is, basically, 20%, however on start that chances is lower, because the chance to get Permanent attribute bonus (PAB) is calculated according to how many PABs you already have. So, eventually in first, say, 100 shrining you will get lots of PABs and few of Energy Drink. Both ways are good and if you prefer gambling - go for shrining path, otherwise sell Artifacts and do not bother. 5. High-Grade Cloth (HGC) && High-Grade Wood (HGW) Chances are that monster after the battle may drop magnificent/legendary shield/staff/cotton/phase equipment. First at all that equipment may worth a fortune, so ask people if this equipment is valuable and if it doesn't then do not bazaar it, but rather salvage it for HGC or HGW. Former is costed ~18,000 in WTB section, latter is ~7,000 - so they may be an extra profit for you. --------That's all folks, good luck in playing and wish you all nice peerless drop =) This post has been edited by DJNoni: Nov 19 2017, 15:03

guys, this is not an accomplishment thread. this is the new Ask the Experts.
both threads are still open for the only purpose of letting the time to end ongoing discussions on the other thread and start new ones here. or to give us suggestions about which infos to keep from the first posts. but not to post things like "is this a new thread?" when it's obviously that. a few comments have been wiped, btw.

Some time ago, in the old Ask The Expert thread, there was a question about Spirit Shield. "Is STR useful for mage, because you get more Spirit for the Spirit Shield?". This had been researched earlier - but this got lost in the old thread. So I did some testing.
Conclusion: Adding STR (strength PAB points) has no use for mages what so ever. Spirit shield will consume more Spirit if max spirit is higher. The formula in the wiki is incorrect. Data & Analysis With STR = 0 I had about 1905 max spirit With STR = 356 I have 2108 max spirit this is an increase of about 10.5%
With STR = 0 my spirit shield did the following: convert 7780 dmg into 100 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01285 convert 7273 dmg into 94 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01292 convert 496 dmg into 6 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01209 Average SS conversion rate = 0.01262
With STR = 356 my spirit shield did the following: convert 4776 dmg into 66 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01386 convert 4773 dmg into 66 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01383 convert 2869 dmg into 40 spirit -> SS conversion rate = 0.01394 Average SS conversion rate = 0.01386
Increase in Spirit Shield conversion rate = 9,8%
with so few data points, there is some inaccuracy in the values. so Delta in max spirit = Delta in SS Conversion rate Conclusion: Increase in Max Spirit = Increase in Spirit Damage

Thanks DJNoni for the research (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I hope this clears up any lingering bitterness about the discussion that I don't really want to bring up.

QUOTE(DJNoni @ Dec 24 2017, 09:14) Conclusion: Increase in Max Spirit = Increase in Spirit Damage You don't say... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Those are rounding errors my dude, and you weren't even taking max damage. How you have at least 40k hp is another story (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I've already made the mistake of playing without spirit tanks and pots. Sure you can only take five shielded hits in one turn, but more spirit points affect how much damage you can take over time and how effective draughts are. Also you still gained more sp than you lost in conversion (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

So, since i forgot, for 1H, after SDE, what combo of PABs is better? SDA or DEA? Or are they equal?

guess it depends on your purpose. SDA to boost firepower a bit, DEA to boost your tankiness a bit.
