You can still downvote a comment if you dislike it, but the comment cleanup thread is always meant to be used for nuking spammers and the *really* hostile folks (e.g. the good old "kill yourself die die die" comments) primarily. We aren't trying to recreate reddit here.

If you really think that this comment is worth our time moderating it, you should just not read the comments on EH at all and browse something like facebook instead. Since they actually pay people to weigh every single sentence someone writes, and protect your safe space.

Are you seriously complaining to me about how hard it is because of one clean-up I asked regarding this stuff in who knows how long?

Downvote requests on Boatman87 and phantom116 are justified. Pulling slurs on the forums (aside from FSZ) is a bannable offense, and the same rule set applies to the comment section as well. Though it's probably not worth chasing down these comments once they have been upvoted into the absolute infinity.

The one from spierdalacz while certainly shouldn't be encouraged, I personally not too arsed in nuking it tbh.

Glad to see this policy is still alive and well after all.

Though FYI: My personal standards is that as long as it is not a death threat or a 20-pages essay about some crazy nonsensical conspiracies, I probably won't make a request chasing after them.

Been there, tried moderating those, and all I got is the nutjob reposting the same garbage, or a bunch of "new accounts" pulling the exact same crap. It's better if we just concentrate our efforts into taking down people who keep spamming slurs (or some other bullshit) across galleries. If the comment war only happens on one odd gallery, then I'd say just let them eat each other til they are bored (esp. when the gallery is made to deliberately provoke it).

No rules were broken making those requests, this thread isn't for argument.
