Well anyway, there IS a reason I didn't mention focus staffs initially.

One good auction will net you more credits than everything you sell to lurkers.

Set the price higher then, if someones going to pay that price in an auction I don't see why they wouldn't normally...

I focus because it saves time on normal difficulty, which is what I play most of time.

Something like this, but with ~58% mcc. Don't really care about ET, but it shouldn't be much weaker in power. If it's "stronger" better. (have better mdm, elec elemental damage, elemental proficiency, INT)

This is the staff scaled to l250:

I've been noticing how the lag always starts to happen whenever I'm getting ready to level up. It's gotten slow and the page is blinking and blipping like it always does whenever this happens. It started yesterday and it gets worse the closer I get. It's not to the point where it's unplayable yet but this is really aggravating. I'm definitely seeing a pattern.

Yeah, the page blinks and disappears long enough for me to press the print screen button. Then it reappears.

Just tried "easy" instead of "cake". I was defeated in twelve rounds! My god, this game needs a little balance.

I can fight until I get bored in flimsy/heroic, but in grindfest/normal I get defeated in 10 rounds or so.

Oddly at level 10 I could fight for a while in grindfest/normal.

I'm not using any heavy because all the heavy I've found has been complete !@#$.

Why is it that I can't find a good Katalox staff (45+% MDM, 40% 3-turn ET, good profs, and good stats)?

Because they don't exist. I've got an ebony one, but that was pretty much a freak battletoad trio drop.

It seems like whenever I dump equipment in the shop, I get the same type of stuff dropped in my arena battles. It's like, didn't I just get rid of that crap?

Only if you have a lot of free time to do it, and patience too.

I've mostly moved on. I do like 1 a week if I'm bored. Like any drop, 95% of the time you're gonna get crap. "Exquisite cotton caps" and such. I've gotten one useful exquisite, and those were a pair of fleet gloves. Not really that amazing either lol.

You might start doing it more for EXP as you increase in level. It gets easier and easier the stronger you get, plus it gives a lot of EXP (around 25 mil for me I think) and a chance at Exquisites. There's really no threat of death either if you have a good strat and equipment as well.

Not sure if this should be in the Experts thread, but what's a good strat anyway? So far, I can think of only 2, and I'm not sure if they're that good:

1) Casting sleep on all -> Kill 1 at a time, drain last mob
2) Cast tier3 Fire/Elec spells, hope to kill as many as possible, and then drain Manthra.

1 is a lot safer, but I run the risk of losing too much MP for Sleep + single target spells.
2 is risky, there's a good possibility I might die from Double death if the monsters get lucky hits.
