I just rewired an old parallel-type joystick to communicate via Bluetooth. Now all I need is something to operate with it.
Edit: Forgot the obligatory attachment.

Yes, I believe you press L3 to look at all pages and press triangle and select "open new window".

If I do buy Bose Aviation X headphones, I better make sure it's the fixed wing aircraft version. I don't want to have to but a $50-100 helicopter to standard adapter for it, nor do I want to buy an adapter to compensate for the lack of aircraft power.

If you can get them used and well below market price, I'd recommend them, as they are basically the same product.
The big issue does come down to price, though, because with BOSE, you're buying for the brand name, not the product.

Then go for it. I think those normally MSRP for $250 or so. You got on a pretty good deal.

BOSE and Sony are completely different: I have a BOSE and my friend a Sony (of around same price), and we constantly compare. Our conclusion is that for rap, techno, and hip hop, you're better off with Sony, and for everything else, BOSE wins hands down. And as I do not like rap, hip hop or techno, I am very happy with my BOSE.
EDIT: Non-noise canceling, both Sony and BOSE. If you want good cancellation, Panasonic does the job really well for 1/5th of the price.

Have to wait till friday to know for sure, and they're aviation A-20. $995 new from Bose's website. I may go up to $100, but I'm a tad reluctant on a non-returnable item. Feh, If the controls are blown, I'll have passive canceling phones, and I doubt you could blow a speaker in sealed around-ear headphones without blowing an eardrum as well. Noah: I mostly listen to black metal, so low end is important. I've been using Sony MDR-V150 when I'm out of the house because they allow enough outside noise in and are cheap for something that sounds good, but was wanting a good pair to use mostly at home. The Sony pair makes me ears sore after about an hour of being on, so I'm looking for a comfortable pair. The studio headphone further up the line from mine seem to either be fragile, or have a not very mobile cup, which would lead to the same pinching problem I have now.

IfSince aviation x slipsslipped of my grasp, I wonder how much ear pads would cost for a Series 1 aviation headset? EDIT: I was outbid on the two pairs with helicopter plugs. There's still another pair with a lemo connector for commercial planes that I'm winning on for now. I was outbid on all 3 pairs. I went ahead and e-mailed Bose about replacement ear pads and a manual for the series one.
