Sadly, anonymous outlets have been less than satisfactory for me this past year.

Hi everyone, new guy here (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would put myself across as a hobbyist translator who can do Japanese -> English or English -> Japanese (the latter is not very useful here I guess). I studied Japanese in college for 4 years and is currently working in a Japanese environment in real life. I'm more of a regular anime/manga person but I find translating hentai works challenging in a certain way and fun.

I feel this is a dangerous statement to make but feel free to come to me if you have some non-urgent backlog that nobody else seems to be interested to do. I...

- prefer short eromanga chapters or doujins less than 20 pages
- can only give you a script and is incapable of any editing
- don't really like translating sfx (I'm lousy with the woos and aahs)
- is okay with doing stuff that's not on a bounty

Admittedly I'm making this post because I've reached the PM limit as I was about to contact someone.

I started off pretty poorly, but got a lot better over time, I like to think.
Mostly interested in Oreimo related things, but, as my account would indicate I also don't mind cute things from other shows. Bakemonogatari, Index/Railgun, things of that nature.

I have only really done Non-H so far, and I have little interest in H, but I've done a couple.

I'm not sure if there's any point in it, but I suppose I'll sign up here. I translate original H-manga that seem cute and/or interesting and have at least decent art quality. I do it for practise, meaning I'm not actually very good with the language yet, but working slowly and asking for help when I need it, I can achieve satisfactory quality. I take quality seriously.

I also edit my own stuff, but I find it boring, so if an editor wants to collaborate, I might be interested...

Hi, I posted a thread for myself in the Cove of Translators about me wanting to contribute translations. For now at least, I am a freelancer, unless I can make a group with some buddies later. I would like to be added on the list for exposure and also to see if anyone is willing to give any sort of advice.

I posted the following before, and I will post it here

These are my restrictions. And if my partners have hang-ups in something that I accept, I will heed them and not do those as well.

Absolutely Never
•Netorare
•Gore
•Torture (the legit kind, but femdom is ok)
•Bestiality (with real animals, but monster girl/guy is ok)

Will Not Do (unless someone working with me really, really insists)
•Cheating (except in the case when two people have a vanilla love, but circumstances, such as an arranged marriage, interfere and make it technically cheating-- this is ok)
•Netori (the only form of this I possibly will accept is the case where the person getting their girl/guy stolen is a dick and was seriously asking for it)
•Rape
•Gangbang
•Complete Slut (like having 1-on-1 sex with like everyone)
•Exhibitionism

Ok (I will take these as requests, but I won't focus on these on my own accord)
•Shota (involving a boy)
•Lolicon (involving a girl)
•Monster girl/guy (I will focus on this if it's vanilla)
•Femdom (usually accepted, but there a limit to how much I can take. If the whole doujin is a guy getting kicked in the balls, or being forced to keep drinking his own cum a lot, or not "getting some" at the end after all the abuse, I won't accept. So I'll usually accept, but it's a case-by-case basis sort of thing)
•Incest (I will focus on this if it's vanilla)
•Yuri

Strong Preference
Anything Vanilla. Doujins that fit more strict definitions of vanilla are more preferred than those which are loosely vanilla.

NOTES:
(1) There are rare cases where a doujin includes things that I don't accept, but ends on vanilla (the chief example I have of this is in the first main story of Kainushisama ni Natteyo ne! , where the first chapter is sluttish non-vanilla exhibitionism, the second is gangbang rape, and the third is sweet vanilla). This IS acceptable for me, though I know this sort of thing is rare.
(2) On the other hand, if a doujin starts as vanilla or acceptable, but becomes unacceptable in later chapters (like how Ane-Sweet was acceptable, but the netorare sequel Ane-Unsweet isn't), only the acceptable chapters can be translated.
(3) There are some doujins series that use specific terminology that only one familiar with the series will understand. For example, if there is a League of Legends doujins, I have no fucking idea what an AD Carry or AP Carry or A-whatever Carry is, not what ganking means, nor what any of the attack names are, and etc. So in those cases, if I accept, I'll ask around for someone to assist in translating those terms properly.

....I think that covers everything. I don't know if this needs to be mentioned, but all requests are free.

I am/was looking for a proofreader, and for now, the user marien seems willing, though I don't know if he/she is the "I will help with translation accuracy"-type or the "I will make your English sound better"-type or both. If not both, finding someone to do the other job would be good. And by the way, I am still waiting to see if my buddy will work with me as a typesetter for real, so yea. Still waiting for that. If he can't, I ask around for someone else to typeset.

... and another thing, I possibly can translate Chinese language doujins as well. My level of Chinese is not as good as my level of Japanese, but it is generally decent enough. I can, at the very least, produce mediocre Chinese translations. For an example, see my translation in the comments of [www.fakku.net] ATTACK ON MIKASA on fakku. If I am to also do Chinese doujins, I would really, really want to have someone knowledgable in Chinese to back me up. As you can see in that translation I did, I understand most of it, but there are quite a few things that elude me.

Freelance translator. Decided to start doing this to get better at wording Japanese in English since that's what I think is the hardest to do when I translate something. I don't really care what I translate as long as I think I can get something out of it. Activity will vary depending on amount of spare time I have.

I'm probably not good enough to belong here, but I'm a rookie translator + editor (the latter more out of necessity than volition) who isn't affiliated with any groups. I'm trying my best to improve and hopefully become competent someday, and am very grateful to the people who've assisted me in the Random Translation Help thread. My top three four preferences are:
0. Art - If it's appealing enough to me, I'm even willing to work on genres I don't particularly like*.

2. Vanilla/Happy sex

*The two I absolutely refuse to work on, regardless of quality, are furry and bara/yaoi.
