Ok A large list of tutorials for the community to share, view, review and continue to add to. I have been building this list sporadically for a few years. Every time I have to look something up and I like the tutorials I find, I book mark them and eventually try to organize them.

Some of the links may no longer be active, or may have changed, but it would be quite a task to go and check them all again, and I'm a procrastinator, so yeah.

Not all of the tutorials are just for drawing. Since I am a media artist who dabbles in just everything from Sculpting, to 3D artist I collect tutorials from everything!

I really encourage the Community to really contribute to this list. The best thing is for the list to grow to continue to help other aspiring artist. So I look forward to seeing you all in here and learning.

This isn't my complete list, but pretty much the only one I got organized.

I don't discriminate where the tutorials come from, be it Deviant Art, YouTube, Google Lists, where ever. As long as it gives me what I want, I tend to save it and use it.

So Come on guys. Give it your best and lets get this list growing.

I think the best tutorials/teachers for general drawing are these. Lots of teaching videos and check the playlists for more precise videos.

https://www.youtube.com/user/ProkoTV

Proko has mainly gesture drawing and anatomy teaching

https://www.youtube.com/user/Sycra

Sycra has more variety. Livestreams, speed sketches, tutorials... I also find his perspective for drawing interesting like the iterative approach.

https://www.youtube.com/user/LighterNoteProd

Alphonso Dunn does pen and ink. He has a large variety of video tutorials from fundamentals to specific ones. He also has some flash tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/user/DrawWithJazza

Jazza also has many things. Tutorials, animation... better to just check the channel

Some/all of them have websites. If link doesn't work just google the name.

[www.zbrushcentral.com] http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.ph...Scan-and-Sculpt

It's not a tutorial per se,

but it's a great lighting reference rendered in 3d

from basic lighting situations to movie lighting palletes

Going through these is absolutely great, I feel like over the years it has somehow gotten harder to find good art tutorials when I need them for some things.
Thanks a lot for sharing, even years after.

[alexhays.com] http://alexhays.com/loomis/

Fun With a Pencil is great for beginners, introducing the idea of construction and viewing the drawing as a 3D form (I wish I'd read it earlier laugh.gif )

Figure Drawing For All It's Worth is packed with great info on drawing the human figure, and drawing in general, I'd suggest reading it after Fun With a Pencil.

I haven't gotten to the rest of his books, but if you've used them then go ahead and let me know how helpful they were.
