Start by checking if your idea already exists by going through the fetish list on the wiki. If it has not, proceed and check if it has already been discussed previously. Use the search function at the bottom of the page on the tag suggestion board. If it has, and you feel you have something further to add to the discussion, simply post in the relevant thread, a tag suggestion thread can't become too old, it's always fine to resurrect a since long stagnated discussion if you have anything more to add.
If your idea is fresh, create a new thread here in vig, name it: "Tag suggestion: the tag name".

Fill it out with this basic template:
- Type, the following types are available:
- Description, write a short objective description explaining the tag. To get an idea about a good description length check some established tags.
- Examples, link to some example galleries found here on EH. Avoid using imagesets as examples.

Finally it's always a good idea to explain why you feel the new tag is needed. Here you can use subjective language with whatever text amount you feel is needed to properly convey your ideas.

Remember to stay on-top of the discussion for the tag you have suggested, it's rare that others will move the discussion in a satisfying direction - posting once and then leaving it "to the winds" often results in the tag discussion stagnating and finally becoming forgotten.

If your suggestion is met with objections, as long as you have at least two active taggers supporting the tag suggestion, it can be elevated into a vote. If we failed to make an appearance in the suggestion thread, PM a tag moderator to create a vote thread.

Do note that this is only a recommended format, if you only have a concept you want to bring up and discuss, feel free to do so.
