In this thread you can make requests for artist, circles (groups), parodies and characters to be moved into their respective namespace.
You can also request assignment of an alias to tags.

Please follow this format when requesting:

Artists:
artist 1
artist 2
artist 3
artist 4
(...and so on)

Groups:
group 1
group 2
group 3
group 4
(...and so on)

Characters:
character 1
character 2
character 3
character 4
(...and so on)

For slave requests (one name being correct over another) do the following:

Slave:
ArtistMaster > ArtistSlave
GroupMaster > GroupSlave
CharacterMaster > CharacterSlave

When requesting a tag alias:

Alias:
ArtistPrimary > ArtistAlias
GroupPrimary > GroupAlias
CharacterPrimary > CharacterAlias

Always provide a source list whenever possible, like so:

Sources:
artist 1: SourceLink
group 1: SourceLink 1
SourceLink 2
character 1: SourceLink

This is especially important on any master / slave switching requests.

The following sources are not deemed trustworthy:
- Anthologies table of content pages
- English DLsite
- DMM
- Google translate or other automated translation tools

We follow [en.wikipedia.org] Hepburn romanization.

If you get "No hits" in response to your request: That means the tag has not been added into misc. If you do not have the required 25 power to add the tag into misc, simply provide a link to the relevant gallery and resubmit your request.

Also how does one add colliding tags "manually", for example colliding artist lunch with character lunch?

Unless one vastly outnumbers the other, I suggest just making new tags for both. There's no way to split an existing tag into two namespaces.

Oh, and DON'T put stuff in the language namespace that isn't a language.

Also, where could we namespaces to be created? I might have missed the thread but I don't think so.
For instance "asuka langley soryu" would have to become "character:asuka langley soryu" but right now I get a:
"Could not vote for tag: The tag character:asuka langley soryu is in a restricted namespace and must first be defined by an administrator."

I've ever so slowly started adding tags I come across. Please note that this is a gigantic project of moving over everything, so it will take couple of weeks... At the very least.
Hopefully the other tag moderators will chip in soon

Here is the famous lunch tag, notice it has two different namespaces assigned, artist and character. So depending on what you pick as default its what will be "auto corrected" when you use the tag. For example in this case tagging lunch will result in character:lunch.
If the thing your namespacing is lacking tag collision, just go with default on the new namespace, otherwise people needs to enter the namespace prefix to add get it to add properly. Picking "No Default Namespace" will just make the tag go into the "misc group".

The update seems instant, tho the galleries won't show it till you have voted up or down a tag (tho not sure if its only for me, I'm using Opera ).

Seeing as we are starting a little wishing thingy; I would love to have the !BLACKLISTED! entry to get on top again, its ever so slowly getting pushed down by all the new namespaces.

Ahh, that's way it didn't seem to work no matter how long I waited. I noticed something else: I opened a different chuuka mantou gallery and all the tags were clumped together in a misc namespace and when I voted the CM tag up the misc tag clump broke into three namespaces. It seems older galleries are not updating to the namespacing properly. (The tag cluster is in the correct page location.)

For example... When I opened this gallery the tags were....

misc: slayers (177) chuuka mantou (172) yagami dai (117) lina inverse (112)mantou (35)ranma 12 (27)
spanking (6)anal (4)dismembered (4)asobiniikuyo (1)

After voting up a tag, it changed to...

parody: ranma 12 (27)
group: chuuka mantou (172)
misc: slayers (177) yagami dai (117) lina inverse (112) mantou (35) spanking (6) anal (4) dismembered (4)
asobiniikuyo (1)

Note: I then moved slayers, yagami dai, and lina inverse into their namespaces, and then voted-down a slave tag, and it became...

parody: slayers (219) ranma 12 (27)
character: lina inverse (112)
group: chuuka mantou (172)
artist: yagami dai (117)
misc: mantou (14) spanking (6) anal (4) dismembered (4) asobiniikuyo (1)

Default. And the reason it choose one automatically is that there could be several variant tags in different namespaces.

It's instant, but each gallery has tags as part of its cache, so it won't actually be visible until the cache is rebuilt. Which is generally done when you do anything to it. (Tag, rate, comment, etc...)

About the number names, I did "artist 123", just spelled it out as one two three, should this be the standard or is there maybe a chance namespaces can support only number tags?
