The event has now finished. Everyone who handed in at least one full set of hoarded items were awarded a CoreCare Starter Kit (Tier 8 trophy). Additionally, and even if you didn't hand in a full set, you were also granted a Shrine Fortune (Tier 7 trophy) for every unique hoarded item you handed in.
Note that the Shrine Fortunes are not tradable, but the CoreCare Starter Kit is. This is intentional.
Important: Going forward, artifacts from previous Easter events will become untradeable at the start of the next Easter event, to avoid endless lists of dead artifacts clogging up certain interfaces. All current Easter artifacts will therefore become untradeable come Easter 2023. Maybe later.
--
Snowflake recently noticed that the silly humans have started a new trend of collecting completely useless Equipment Cores, most likely due to their innate shininess. Never one to let a business opportunity slip by, she decided to launch the new CoreCare™ series of core display, storage and maintenance products, which is just about ready for market. Unfortunately, the caravan carrying the first production batch was ambushed by opportunistic monsters on the way from the moogleworks, and all the goods were stolen. She needs your help to get them back.
Lost CoreCare™ goods will drop randomly in battle; drop rates increase with higher difficulties. (They only drop on Persistent.)
The event ends on Monday, April 18th at 23:59:59 UTC. You should hand in your findings at Snowflake's Shine by then to qualify for the event's grand prize.

Maybe not that different but can the time change to next Easter end instead of start. Many player return only in Easter event and they may not see this post. The old artifacts may have some collectable value, keep them tradeable untill the old player return next time so there are more chance for people to collect them, thanks QUOTE(SPoison @ Apr 19 2022, 23:33) Just give us a new artifact screen and dump them all there instead, keep my hording ability alive and well!

Well, I do plan to eventually add some sort of "trophy case" or "collections" screen, which would enable fully retiring these items from the active item set.

What about making it a drop-down menu? Trading obsoletes is fun.
I have a long-standing ambition of saving 120 Easter artifacts for years and then selling them to a collector for 120 million.

Seriously, I really don't think wiping out the majority of the game's tradable limited-edition items for a mere UI convenience is a good idea. There probably isn't a serious player who isn't dismayed by this, and people should speak up now.
Even if you can't pay 1m+ apiece for the original SNOWFLAKE eggs, the Easter event is an accessible opportunity every year for people to finally put their gear to good use and grind some new special items that might be equally valuable in 10 years, if the game is still active. Making them non-tradeable sucks out all of the fun.
It can absolutely be folded into the UI somewhere else.

1m+ for an artifact? Gambling can be fun, so I can understand paying 1m+ for a tier 9 Tenbora's Box trophy. However, the best one can hope to get from an artifact is an Energy Drink, which has a sell value of 100K on a good day. If anyone is seriously thinking about paying 1m+ for old Easter artifacts then I think he is doing them a favor by making them untradeable.

I am, in fact, paying 1m+ per artifact for old Easter artifacts. I don't intend to shrine them. Why? Because I don't have some of them and I want them. I also would prefer they be kept tradable.

I guess I'll consider an alternate solution if people are actually still actively trading old Easter artifacts, but I would assume that this kind of trade is pretty dead?

Well, it's only anecdotal, but after posting that I was able to buy several sets of Easter artifacts within a few hours: Chickens (Easter 2016), Ancient Fruit Smoothies (2017), Spelling Errors (2018), Category Buttons (2019), and Hoarded Supplies (2020), plus some individual older artifacts. I also recall HVMarket had a decent selection of such artifacts (including, occasionally, older ones, which I am kicking myself for not buying before). I think the market is currently lacking some discoverability now that HVM is down, so a platform like that might increase trade. The forums are suboptimal for things like old artifacts. Also, if you added a trophy case to display them in, I think demand would significantly increase. People like to show off shiny things, and that is a thing that could be stimulated. That said, trade for the really old artifacts is necessarily limited because there's less of them and many of the people who do have them are not (regularly) active. If you add a trophy case, maybe it would be fun to have occasional events where there's a chance of dropping otherwise obsolete artifacts? Perhaps some nasty people broke into Snowflake's Shrine despite the Tesla Coils and you need to gather the artifacts. I might propose April 1st, but then we'd miss it this year.

Make a trophy case, we can choose which items go to the trophy case and once it is done the item(s) can't be traded or/and used.
Sad me, didn't participate in this year's Easter hunt.

I was never really into the easter events since i could not handle the Item World and the Grind Fest, but starting with 2021 i started to get into it. I love to hoard and don't real mind the UI. Sadly i traded my Easter Eggs away but i would buy some in the future, would be a real shame if this would be locked out.

Heh, that was in fact the primary objective of the screen in the first place. The "do we have the figures in the inventory" check is pretty much a hack, making it permanent would just be much cleaner. Either way, I don't see a lot of people clamoring to keep them tradable, but I guess I'll put it off for now. It's not a priority in any way after all.

I have also kept every unique artifact I have ever earned. And while I cannot afford to acquire the random ones that either came before me, or that I have sometimes missed, it would be a shame for them to not be able to be "passed on" someday.

Not necessarily ... it's just that old artifacts are (usually) in the hands of collectors, that either want to keep them, or want to use dupes for exchanges rather then selling. Also sometimes an old player absent since a few years returns, and for im having the possibility to sell his old artifacts/trophies is a good "welcome back" boost, too Besides, most collectors have some hole in their collections and would like to fill it (if and wen possible); making old artif. untradeable would prevent that forever (what a shame ). I think making untradeable just the ones of future Easters events[u] is understandable (that would also force collectors to participate in future Easter events, instead of buying, which can arguably be a good thing). But making old one untradeable, I'm against it; they're not like Stuffers or Shrine Fortune, that you can get each year. You can only get them from other old players/collectors (eventually). imoo P.S. Btw, 10B, the people not making objections can be simply due to poor visibility of this info (I have become aware of this only today, for instance, despite giving at least a glance to forums each day). After all, posting it in the Easter thread after Easter is due to be somewhat overlooked, especially by active forumers/players, Id say. This post has been edited by mundomuñeca: May 4 2022, 04:09

It was never a big deal, and I already implemented a different solution for the new market system, so it's unlikely they will become untradeable after all.
