I don't know how I feel about having a set of war medals and personal affects related to them.
Yes, they are part of my family's history and "heirlooms" of a sort...but they never belonged to them - they were spoils of war.
I don't even know how they were acquired.
Were they stripped from the dead where they lay, taken during surrender, traded for amongst other members of their unit or civilians during (or after) the war?
The value of awards bestowed by long deceased governments is entirely subjective, beyond how much precious metal they can be melted down into.
I'm reminded slightly of a scene from Black Lagoon, during which Revy monologues about the meaningless of being sentimental over awards like this beyond what price they can fetch at a market.
Perhaps I'm overthinking this, and should just appreciate the awards as what they are - fragments of history from a far-off time that I've come into possession of by no effort nor fault of my own.

I remember them being formative in sparking my interest in Japanese VNs when they ran a blog, and they seemed to have grand ambitions -
at the very least they certainly had strong convictions and an interesting perspective on things like IP law, patents, and copyright more generally.

Not sure why the episodes of Abby Hatcher on Netflix weren't arranged according to the original, chronologically-correct listing. E.g. "When Abby Met Bozzly" was the first episode when the series debut on Nickelodeon as opposed to episode 8 on Netflix.

I learned just now there was a new, modern series of Clifford The Big Red Dog which debuted in 2019 on Amazon.

It's regrettable that an act as simple as wearing a skirt or not changes how I'm perceived by others around me.
Others approving of skirts and dresses for me, and other such attire, would be a welcome phenomena were it accompanied by equal embrace of me wearing different clothes.
I'd like to dress as myself - not play dress-up according to whatever fickle cultural ideals are in vogue at any given time.

Love how Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs TV series isn't shy from making references to the movie it is based on.

Star Trek: Lower Decks viewership must be very good since the third season is now out.

Of all series on Netflix, Karma's World doesn't need a Japanese dub. Rapping in Japanese doesn't work.

Just like Superbowl Sunday, I'm sort of getting the same feelings of anticipation....

I find myself stocking up on snacks before Thursday evening comes. Just came back from Costco with some of their boutique type snacks and I'm not sampling any until the show starts. The cheap snacks I may munch on the hour before the show because Amazon Prime might try to entertain me with interviews and commentary before Rings of Power comes on. Just like with the Superbowl pregame show and the pre-pregame show.

Mighty Express is a mix of Paw Patrol and Thomas the Tank Engine. Like Paw Patrol, but with trains instead of dogs. And adults completely replaced with kids.

Mighty Express and Motown might actually look better in handrawn 2D animation rather than 3D CGI.

Use a different narrator and ambient music and I wouldn't have dozed off halfway through this video.
