I noticed Superlatanium was shown as idling in the forums and his auction thread a lot yesterday but he may not have actually been there.

I had another minor question on the item I was bidding on (and won, yay!)

Dakfl251's automatic proxy bid at 68.666m which I saw with my own eyes in reality does not show up in the log. It doesn't show up in the time history either, and instead my 66.666m bid was credited as being the high bid for a short while.

Maybe he had two proxy bids up at the same time (strategic) and this how the system treats that? Or some other reason, like a minor programming oversight that occurs if someone (me, in this instance) places a proxy bid too soon after other manual or proxy bids?

I think what happened is the post hit the character limit when the winning bid times and extensions were added, which broke it for further editing.

It looks like Latanium manually updated it yesterday to fit by removing some of the formatting (like the rainbow names on peerlesses).

Something's wrong with the bid increment. I bid 80k on Shd04, and then a proxy bid came in at 81k. Scrolling down the bid log, it seems the something similar happened to Clo32: a proxy bid for 300k got outbid by another proxy bid for 301k.

A proxy bidder's last bid is exempt (1k minimum increment)

1k minimum increment for proxy.

I.e. when someone place exact 301k max proxy, and someone bid 300k, proxy will outbid it by 1k(minimum allowed incremnent for proxy). This exploit the fact that people often bid with minimum bid increment, so you know that next bid would be 300k, or 80k, and proxy to 301k or 81k.

At least that's how understand it, never used proxy though

No, proxy bid don't let you put any bid that is less than the next "normal" minimum increase.

If someone bid 50K you can proxy bid only 80K+ as the minimum proxy bid.

Super's post says to PM, but no PMs are going through. I've moogle mailed with no response. There's plenty of other posts in this thread from people having difficulty getting a bidkey. If we're going to favor proxy bidders over manual bidders, can we have an easier method of getting a bidkey?

Just send MM to Super and be patient, is all i can advise. I did the same and it took about two weeks till he read it ?

- The list of auctions on the top page doesn't show the current auction.
- The timers at the top of each page reached by the navbar links (Update through Notify Log) are still showing Auction #280 and saying it's expired.

He was responsive, but also charged a 10% fee on the stuff he auctioned for you. To be honest, I very much prefer the way it is now

IMO he is doing a great service and for free. Also, to get a bidkey, I sent him a MM and he replied in a few days.

I recently auctioned a mag quality item and was surprised the legendary ranges were used. It was a quite good power armor that ended up labeled with a very low adb% (that would be true if it'd be legendary). The confusing listing probably didn't help its performance.

As such I'd recommend to never auction a good magnificent. The automated system lists them in a rather.. questionable and misleading way. For example this one here would get: 337, IW 4, PXP 346, forged 5, ADB 20%, Pmit 22%, Phy CC 18%, Phy CD 27%, Pier 24%, Burden 78%, Interf 94%
While the actual true values are: 337, IW 4, PXP 346, forged 5, Mag ranges: ADB 95%, Str 44%, Dex 51%, End 63%, Pmit 95%, Mmit 46%, Phy CC 88%, Phy CD 100%, Crus 53%, Slas 27%, Pier 92%, Burden 12%, Interf 29%

Which is why this auction has 2 of them with already early bids surpassing what mine sold for? The auction before that also had better results.

I'm not even caring about the gains in this case, I care about the misleading way magnificent equip is listed. When people look at a mag item and don't know about this, they will ignore it when there's low values listed. So all I say is, if your mag item is "too good", the auction system won't do it justice and you might not even get a minimum bid.

Is there a way to get a bidkey besides PMing super?
I've been trying to send him a PM every now and then but I think his inbox is permafull.
