One thing I often hear about the HV lottery prizes is that people are mostly in it for either the gear or the chaos tokens. Presumably, the golden ticket is also desirable since it improves the chance in future lotteries.

If the blood tokens and soul fragments are really considered trash tier, I'm considering just making the 3rd through 5th prize awards different amounts of chaos tokens, but I would like to know what the regulars think about this.

I would be open to other suggestions as well, but keep in mind that to avoid abuse, lottery prizes should generally not be tradeable.

just wondering, is the order in which rewards are picked really that relevant?

either way, blood tokens may be still decent since they can be traded for trophies and chaos tokens. but since in this meta people usually go for chaos tokens to feed their monsters, blood tokens should be one step lower in order of importance. i don't really mind whether they are 2nd or 5th place though.

[edit]: also, you may want to put a poll of five questions to ask which one of each prize is really interesting or not

Soul Fragments are trash for sure.

Token of Blood is near trash considering most of the time when converted to trophies and sold, the amount earned tends to be negligible to the amount spent.

I'm kind of thinking of untradable shrinable collectables that comes in 32 flavours. It should give a guranteed Magnificent when shrined.

Soul fragments are useless, after they were introduced they had a meaning but now all the "old" players have a stock of them.

Blood tokens should be ok, the only problem I can think of is the fact that the heavy grinders can farm more blood tokens that they can spend in a day.
To make the price more useful I would suggest something like:
  • Small increase in N° of blood tokens (move the cap from 200 to 250 or 300)
  • Ring of blood arenas are not limited anymore to 1 per day, you can do how many do you want each day, but the cost is multiplied by 2 every time, so for FSM it would be 5 tokens for the first clear, 10 tokens for the second, 20 tokens for the third and so on.

what's the point in placing in at least 32 lotteries just to have a Mag? XMas trophies already do that, and are way easier to find.

The same point as to why you collect obsoletes when there's better equipment lying around.
It's going to be like a novelty item.

I mean every lottery, 1 of the 32 possible flavours would be offered as a prize.
I'm also thinking the amount of winners will increase with the amount of tickets in the whole pool, while each player can only win 1 collectible in a single lottery.

Soul fragments are surely useless.
Blood tokens are okay for non-grinders but for grinders it's useless.

So, it would be nice if you change 3rd 4th and 5th prize into chaos tokens.

Yeah, I agree that soul fragments are trash. And tokens of blood, I wouldn't want those either.

What I would like is that there are separate lotteries for the chaos tokens and for the peerlesses. I would like it when people going for peerless will actually use them. Second prize would then be golden shower. No wait! ticket. I mean ticket. What was I thinking?

And how about putting shields in the weapon lottery every now and then?

your idea was clear already, i was referring to obsoletes. however, is that guaranteed Mag a minimum roll at the very least - thus with a reasonable chance to earn a Legendary or a Peerless? and why 32? 5 or 6 would already be hard enough...

Oh, just forget about the obsolete part then, I was just trying to say that people sometimes collect things for fun, not because they're functional or anything.

Yea. If it was lower then people won't bother and will shrine noodle's instead.

32 because we want to retain people's interest for a long period of time and also to make up for the fact that there may be multiple winners per lottery per day.

I don't think Tenboro is gonna implement solutions that would take days of developing (he said the same when he asked about new hath perks).
I think you have higher chances if you propose simple solutions that can be implemented without any radical change to the lottery system.

Other than that, there is just a little problem sir which is the 1st winner of the lottery actually did not want to get the 1st prize, he actually want to get the 3rd/4th/5th prize (chaos token) and the weapon/armor prize will be wasted for sure. And maybe there are one or more of the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th winner that are really want to get the weapon/armor as their prize instead of chaos token. SO what is the solution??

I think the solution is very simple sir. U can add a code function under the "purchase ticket function" that would describe the prize that they would like to get when they become winner. U can just make like "Yes No Combo Box" function. The option in the combo box should be the prize the really want to get in the first place : *Weapon/Armor or *chaos tokens.

So here are the scenarios:
1) if the first winner in the beginning actually choose chaos token in "combo box option function", but the 3rd/4th/5th winner are also choose chaos token as their first wanted prize, the first winner will get nothing but weapon/armor.

2) if the first winner in the beginning actually choose chaos token in "combo box option function", and one of the 3rd/4th/5th winner eg. 5th winners choose weapon/armor as their first wanted prize, then 1st winner prize will be replace to 5th prize (chaos tokens) and the 5th winner will get the weapon/armor. And if there are two or three from 3rd/4th/5th winner is actually choose weapon/armor as their first wanted prize, whoever have the highest rank in order (3rd->4th->5th) will be the one who will be replaced his place with the 1st winner to get the prize.

3)if the first winner in the beginning actually choose the weapon/armor in "combo box option function" as their first wanted prize, then there is no problem, he will get the 1st prize as he wanted

I dont think the 2st winner will have much choice since chaos token prize is not included in 2nd prize

With the implementation of this IF function and combo box option function, this little problem will be solved sir and it will give a happy ending between them who are after the chaos token and who are after the weapon/armor prize in the first place. Its a win win solution I think. wink.gif

2nd Prize: Golden Lottery Tickets [max 10]
3rd Prize: Tenbora Box [max 5]
4th Prize: Chaos Tokens [max 1000]
